Anglican Network for Animal Welfare

The Anglican Network for Animal Welfare consists of a group of Anglicans that believe that their God given mission is to be stewards of His creation which also compels us towards the ministry of care  and protection of all animals.

Among the many tasks coordinated by this network, are the promotion of the welfare of animals, the incentive to those who feel so inclined to become independent protectors or create protection projects with friends, the exchange of information and support, incentive to the  mutual help among people through prayer, orientation, concrete actions (fund raising  for animal care and rescued animal maintenance etc.), the acknowledgement of Law 9.605/98 (which deals with Environmental Crimes) and the concept of Responsible Ownership among other actions.

The coordination of the Anglican Network for Animal Welfare is under the responsibility of Rev. Josi Saldanha , from the Parish of Bom Jesus, in Jardim Sulacap, Rio de Janeiro/RJ.
